From the history of the Day of Russia in Lithuania
First Day of Russia in Vilnius took place in 2002 as a celebration of Russian culture in the park Sereykishkes. The idea of holding such an event appeared at the Russian community in Vilnius, it has supported the Russian Embassy in Lithuania. Then the festival attracted about a thousand people. Since then, the festival has become a tradition and one of the most popular in Vilnius. In 2011, the feast came to 15,000 residents in 2012 - 25,000 in 2013 - about 30-35 thousand people.
